Dandelion + Calendula Handcrafted Soap
These beautiful bars of soap are made from wild harvested dandelions from our farmstead and organic garden grown calendula flowers infused in organic olive oil, with organic oils of coconut, sunflower, jojoba, and organic shea butter. They are scented with essential oils of sweet orange, grapefruit, and listea cubeba. Their yellow color comes naturally from the infused botanicals.
This year's soap is scented with essential oils of orange, tangerine, and may chang.
This soap is palm free and creates a creamy lather. I find that it is non-drying and excellent for my sensitive skin.
The dandelion and calendula were allowed to slow infuse in olive oil for 6 weeks before being strained and made into this soap, which cured for another 6 weeks. Each bar of soap is a true labor of handmade love and was made using the traditional cold process method of soap making.
Dandelions are high in vitamin C making them great antioxidants for the skin. They are also high in vitamins A, B6, and K which all help support the skin’s function of fighting free radicals. Calendula, possibly the most famous herb used in botanical skin care, is known for its ability to soothe inflamed and irritated skin.
